Lesson note
Puerto Rico Tip: Puerto Rican addresses often include an urbanización (a named housing development) before the street — for example, "Urb. Las Flores, Calle Sol." If your family's own address includes one, teach that name too, alongside the street and town. Also note that Puerto Rican children conventionally carry two last names (apellido paterno, then apellido materno) — for example "García Ruiz" — so a full name for safety purposes means both, not just one.
Parenting Tip: Most children can reliably recite their full name, address, and a parent's phone number somewhere between ages 4 and 6 — start with short, playful repetition around age 3 rather than expecting instant recall. Teach who counts as a "trusted adult" (adulto de confianza) they're allowed to share this information with, like a teacher or a police officer — not just anyone.
Tip: turn pronunciation off to test yourself.
